About AusBlade
Well its taken probably too long, but weve realized a dream and AusBlade is now open!

We came up with the idea of AusBlade in September 2006 as a place to cater for the Australian Sword Market, but also a place to come and talk about or research swords of all types whether it be a Practical Katana or Masumune's long lost blade. AusBlade is a place where every sword is equal.

Thanks for visiting AusBlade, we hope to see you in the forums :-)

About Ron
Hi, I guess I should intro myself. I'm Ron,I'm 40 something and I'm a sword-a-holic.I've been into knives since I was a kid when my Dad had a sports store. He never had to ask twice for me to tidy the knife section :) I progressed to a few wall hanger swords and that recently led to discovering real swords, japanese style to be exact. In the last 5yrs I've spent way too much on swords and customising them, and I recently bought my first antique.I've got a LOT to learn about the japanese sword, hopefully I learn something new everyday from either a book or from my fellow collectors. Mike and I started this site because we wanted a place we could talk openly about swords without having the constraints of forums run by store owners, or closed groups. All are welcome :)

About Mike
Hi, I'm Mike, isn't really anything interesting I can put here, I fall perfectly into the 20 years old, Full Time Uni/Part Time Working stereotype.

Ive Been collecting swords for a couple years now, for me it started with a decorative eBay set and its grown from there. Thanks for visiting AusBlade, if you have any suggestions or criticisms feel free to contact me...

About Rammstein
Hi guys, Rammstein here! I'm a teen from the USA still in school and am named Grayson, and I've been brought in to help out with the new European database for now. My interests revolve around medieval europe and their weapons, and I'll be the first to sa ythat I know little about katanas (But I'm always willing to read and learn so this forum is great!). Anyways, I'm more of a helper admin really, so I hope I won't let you great guys down! I'm often in the SBG sword forum under the same name.

I own several swords as of now: My first was a clumsy stainless steel wallahanger rapier. The seond was a decent quality training rapier. The third was my first real sword, the sword of war from windlass steel crafts. From then, I bought the windlass shrewsbury. During this time of purchasing my 4th sword, I immersed myself in sword collecting and research and consequently bought my 5th sword, an extremely high quality sword from Albion, the ritter. Then I was awarded the generation 2 witham viking sword from the sbg sword forum as a gift. Finally, I'm recieving my first katana (Cheness Tenchi Ko Katana)also from the sbg sword forum.

Alright, this European sword database is going to be my labor of love so here I go~!
